Let's Meet

I'm Chris, A Small Business Advocate & Technology Coach

The mission at Fear No Machine is for everyone to benefit from technology. Every company and organization wants to thrive, achieve its mission, or grow revenue. Then, there is all the fantastic technology just sitting out there waiting to help you accomplish those goals. What's the best software, how can AI help, and how do you fit it into your budget?

As a small business technology consultant, I am here to listen and help you achieve your goals. It's okay not to love technology but to need it for your business. That's what I am here for.

What sets Fear No Machine apart is my experience and willingness to listen and fit what I do into your organization. I have over fifteen years of experience working in or with startups and small—to medium-sized companies, so I consider the impact and cost of adding new technology. Sometimes, you need less technology or fewer processes to be successful, and I want to always be aware of timing and budget.

I wore many hats at a startup in Nashville, where I created policies and processes, completed tech projects, and trained and coached new staff. As my career evolved as a consultant and operational leader, I have continued down the same path as a problem solver and maximizer of technology. I've also been a coach, trainer, and mentor focused on team performance and culture for three companies. Check out my services below for more details. If you aren't sure what you need or if there is a fit, email me at chris@fearnomachine.com. You can also schedule a free fifteen-minute call using the link below.

Software

Every small business faces the challenge of figuring out what software to use at the appropriate time. When you need your first CRM to track your prospect engagements, investing in Salesforce may not make financial sense. Are there free or low-cost alternatives that can grow with you as your business grows? You bet there are, and I can help you make the right decision that fits your business today while planning for the future. It doesn't matter what software you need; the process is the same.
• Productivity software like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
• Knowledge Base to help track operational processes and onboarding.
• Communications tools to help your team stay connected.
• Accounting
• Project Management
• POS and E-Commerce
• Social Media Management
I can help you evaluate, upgrade, and implement your new software so you can focus on running your business.

Operations

Operational processes and knowledge are often some of the most important things shared in a company. I can build operational knowledge-base systems to support your business. SOP systems are great for sharing complex or critical operational procedures and steps. We can also leverage them to develop multi-modal learning experiences for new and existing staff. I can leverage existing documentation you've created or shadow existing staff to learn processes. Even if you only have a very loose outline of operational steps, I can add the structure needed to make an organized, cohesive living system.
Staff training, change management, and one-on-one system coaching are effective ways to improve internal usage and help the team understand "why" a system is essential.
Other operational services offered:
• Software cleanup.
• UI streamlining.
• Policy creation.
• Process development.

Customer Support

Providing consistently excellent customer support is one of the biggest and most important challenges a business or organization faces. How do you strike a balance between self-service, AI, and interactions with staff? Depending on your business, it will typically be a combination of services. Developing a customer-first mentality and culture among your customer-facing team members is a significant part of the equation. The second part of the equation is accountability and measuring performance. I can help you develop your business or organization's processes, playbooks, and metrics. Finally, you'll need a system or software to track and triage requests. Software to consider:
• Ticketing or traditional CRM.
• Customer communications, including email and chat.
• Marketing and Social.
